ARCOR™ 5477 Corrosion Inhibitor
The Aquaness ARCOR™ 5477 corrosion inhibitor is a filming amine which exhibits effective inhibition in both sweet and sour environments.
The Aquaness ARCOR™ 5477 corrosion inhibitor is a filming amine which exhibits effective inhibition in both sweet and sour environments. This product is formulated to provide a high degree of detergency as well as rapid film forming characteristics for use primarily in water injection and disposal systems. Due to the unique molecular structure of this product, the degree of film persistency obtained in most cases is comparable, or superior to, that of other water-soluble inhibitors. This product is already neutralized with acetic acid. When used as a dispersant in corrosion inhibitor formulations, generally no more than 5% of this product is required. ARCOR 5477 corrosion inhibitor is highly compatible with other high molecular weight amines in either aromatic solvent or alcohol/water-based formulations. In contrast to nonionic dispersants which preferentially water-wet steel, ARCOR 5477 corrosion inhibitor will oil-wet the same surface and contribute to the efficiency of corrosion inhibition. This product may be dissolved in an annular fluid at a concentration of about 2,500 ppm (10 gal/100 bbl) to provide corrosion inhibition. If splashing is allowed to take place while dissolving the chemical in the water, excessive foaming may occur. No other special precautions or procedures are required.
