RL-4RB
The RL-4RB is a legacy Baker Hughes product with extensive field history dating back to the 1980s. It is a family of large OD, internally shouldering conductor casing connectors with sizes ranging from 30 - 36" OD. The RL-4RB is a special "reduced bore" configuration of the RL-4 and is driveable, with 4-start threads that provide make-up with only 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
RL-4RB Connectors greatly reduce rig time to run conductor casing strings by providing quick stabbing and make-up. RL-4RB connectors are available in sizes and styles for drilling and driving in a variety of applications.
The RL-4RB connectors feature self-locking 4-start threads, which provide make-up with only 1/4 to 1/2 turn of the suspended joint.
The RL-4RB connector is available in 30-36" sizes and is available with an integral secondary anti-rotation device. The anti-rotation lock is set by a portable, handheld tool. Each anti-rotation tab provides approximately 400 ft-lb resistive torque per inch of nominal pipe diameter.
Accessory equipment used in driven RL-4RB conductor strings include a threadless drive sub, a remote release extension tool and a torque tool releasable RL-4RB for direct torque release at the mudline.
